In a nutshell: Robert Ferrera, Chair of Cardiology at the University of Ferrara, Gabriele Guardigli, and Luigi Tavazzi, GVM Hospitals of Care and Research, Cotignola, Italy, report on the appointment of the city of Ferrara as the ‘city of prevention’ in Italy. With a population of 134,000, a number of initiatives across the whole city have been launched, designed to further improve CVD prevention by improving the lifestyles of the whole population.
