In a nutshell: The Health & Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) has published data relating to preventable premature deaths from conditions such as heart disease, breast cancer, tuberculosis and asthma. The data also highlighted a north south divide in the country with more in the north dying prematurely than those in the south.
