In a nutshell: The World Health Organization has published the second edition of its Country Profiles, detailing the situation for the four main non-communicable diseases (NCDs) – cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer and chronic respiratory diseases. The statistics focus on mortality, risk factors and the capacity of national systems to prevent and control NCDs.
