Somerset plans 4000 telehealth users

In a nutshell: NHS Somerset is planning to monitor the symnptoms of 4000 people with long-term conditions over the next three years, using telehealth technology. It will be offered to patients with congestive heart disease, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder. Touchscreen phones with remote monitoring capabilities will allow patients to monitor their long-term health conditions from home.
